Perhaps this is the first time Nigeria will be having an Inspector
General of Police who seems more interested in fraternizing with the
Presidency rather than respecting the Constitution of Nigeria. These
days police men go out of their way to insult and assault Professors
(ASUU) and even state Governors, with impunity.
Once you are opposed to President Goodluck Jonathan, your liberty is now
subject to the interpretation of the Nigeria Police under the
leadership of MD Abubakar. Not even the Senate can caution him.
Is this IGP Abubakar suppose to be loyal to Jonathan or the Constitution?
watched
a programme on AIT on Monday afternoon where a lawyer was complaining
of the excesses of the Police under IG Abubakar and how such will
continue if Nigerians keep quiet. So Nigeria now has a Police IG who
leaves his job to attend burial ceremony of a Politician's relative?
